Pressured into buying within 24 hours

The salesman at Birch Gold Group told me there was a "limited allocation" of coins available and that if I did not commit within 24 hours, they would go to the next person on the waiting list. He said they only had 12 sets left and they were going fast. I felt pressured but went ahead and transferred $45,000 from my IRA. Later, when I spoke to a friend who is a coin dealer, he told me there was no such thing as a "limited allocation" for these coins - they were standard bullion products available in unlimited quantities from the U.S. Mint. The "urgency" was entirely manufactured to prevent me from doing research or getting a second opinion. The markup on my purchase turned out to be about 75% over spot price. I have filed a complaint with the FTC.
