About Dale Whitaker

Dale Whitaker is a British-born, naturalized American citizen, former gold industry CFO, whistleblower, and the author of The Gold Grift: Secrets of the American Gold IRA Scam.
Dale moved to the United States in 2008 at age 19. Dale worked at a CPA firm before moving on to roles in managerial accounting and finally landing the job as the CFO at Augusta Precious Metals, one of the industry's fastest-growing firms. During his time there, he uncovered systematic overcharging of retirees - selling "exclusive" and "specialty" coins at premiums of 50% to over 200% above their actual metal value.
In 2018, Dale resigned and filed formal whistleblower complaints with both the SEC and CFTC.
Today, Dale runs a tax practice in Washington State and helps defrauded investors recover their losses. His book, The Gold Grift, serves as both an expose and a practical buyer's guide for anyone considering precious metals investments.
Dale is an Enrolled Agent (E.A.), holds a B.A. in Accounting, and has been a U.S. citizen since 2015. He lives in Washington State with his family.
